Thanksgiving can be stressful enough without having to think about how you are going to decorate your table. However, once you find a look that you love and goes with your aesthetic, I think decorating your Thanksgiving table can be a lot of fun! Plus maybe getting a little crafty or browsing the aisles of Hobby Lobby will alleviate some of that turkey day prep stress ;) Here are some ideas that I love.
Use pumpkins as a vase
I saw this picture on Instagram posted by VEIL Event Design and thought it was stunning! Now this was for a wedding, but I think it could be a great addition to a Thanksgiving table. You can keep with the clean and crisp all white theme (I love how subtle it is with a hint of fall) or go with the standard orange pumpkin and using orange, red and brown flowers. The beautiful picture was taken by Amy Zwikel Studio, her macramé work is amazing!
More minis please!
Mini pumpkins - it's just a pumpkin that's mini, but so much cuter! I love this picture I found on Pinterest of a Thanksgiving table decorated with blue, white and orange mini pumpkins. All you would have to do is get mini pumpkins and spray paint them your favorite colors. It's a cheap, easy way to add some interest to your thanksgiving table. If you wanted it to be even easier, just scatter a bunch of mini pumpkins and gourds on the table in a similar way, au natural, it looks just as good!
Mad for Plaid
Another simple way to decorate your Thanksgiving table is to use a plaid tablecloth - or even a light plaid blanket!. Nothing says fall like plaid, so it's really a no brainer. Plaid also offers a simple color pallete to use, choose a few colors in the plaid for accent colors and find candles, foliage and flowers to compliment it.
