Have you heard of Flamingo Parties? I just heard about them recently through a friend, and when I looked on Pinterest I was blown away with how popular the pink bird is for parties….and I can see why! The hot pink flamingo paired with other fun tropical colors makes for such a fun and lively party theme! It could be used for a birthday, a summer BBQ or pool party, or you could even tastefully incorporate flamingos into a summer wedding for a little fun flair.
When I think about hosting a party, one of the first things I think about is what to make for dessert. Dessert is the best part of any celebration (at least in my book), so it has to be something that's tasty, fun, and on theme. I found some great inspiration for flamingo party desserts, make one, or all of them for an awesome flamingo dessert table.
I LOVE this cake, especially the bottom tier. There are so many fun tiered flamingo cakes out there. You could try and tackle it yourself, but unless you are a cake master, I would recommend getting one made at your favorite bakery.
If you love the cake above, but want something that's a bit easier to serve, cupcakes are your answer. I did see some great cupcakes that used fondant flamingo toppers, but I think these are just as cute. Find a cute flamingo picture you like online, print it out and tape it to tooth picks or a popsicle sticks to stick in the top of your cupcakes. Just add some pink or teal frosting to your cupcakes and they will make the perfect centerpiece dessert, or a fun addition to your flamingo sweets table!
You guys, these macaroons! I love these! What a fun sophisticated touch for a flamingo dessert table. I love the paintings on the macaroons, they are flamingo inspired with out being in your face flamingo. These are the perfect addition to go alongside your flamingo cupcakes or cake!
These cookies are on another level. I think the pineapples are my favorite, and I love all the gold touches. Best to leave these cookies to the professionals, like the Etsy shop that made these!
Flamingo Dessert Tables
Love all of these dessert ideas? Combine them for an awesome flamingo dessert table. Make the cake your centerpiece, and use the cupcakes, macaroons and cookies as accessories. Make it even more flamingo-y with a "Let's Flamingle" banner or by using balloons and palm tree leaves as accents!
Now please excuse me while I go plan my own flamingo-lishious party ;)
